Ayesha Shahid

Ayesha Shahid is a Pakistani visual artist working primarily in oil and dry pastels. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Home Economics University, Lahore and has also completed a course at the National College of Arts NCA. Her professional experience includes an internship at FW Art Space, where she gained insight into contemporary art practices and gallery management.

My practice explores the connection between nature and human emotions. Through landscapes, flowers and surreal compositions. I explore themes of growth, resilience, memory and transformation. The sunflower is a recurring symbol in my work, representing hope, patience and the strength to keep growing. Through oil and dry pastels, I use colour, texture and symbolism to express emotions and personal experiences.
