T.O.P Program Requirements and Guidelines

The T.O.P Program or Talent of Pakistan, allows artists and authors of physical works to showcase and sell their work on our website www.zubdapublications.com

Since we don't hold any of your work in our warehouse, you are solely responsible to handle the customer and get your work delivered to them. 

If you are an artist or an author, please read the following guidelines to see if your work will be accepted and how to proceed once an order comes.

Guidelines

  • The artist or author needs to be 18yrs. old to participate, if they are younger than this, then they need the written permission of their parents presented to us in order to participate.
  • The artist or author needs to be currently living in Pakistan, we don't allow customers from abroad for now, so to maintain shipping costs, only Pakistani Talents will be allowed.
  • All works CANNOT be rated R, promoting haram or political in anyway. We are a family based website so we need to be careful with what is presented.
  • Work needs to be an original, physical item that someone can buy. 

Artwork

  • Work must be original.
  • Artwork should not have any faces, either human nor animals. 
  • Work should not be damaged in any way, no tears or cracks etc.
  • Artwork can include: paintings, pottery, sketches, hand crafts etc.
    • sketches need to be framed. 
  • Digital art or prints will not be accepted for the time being.
  • Art will be displayed in a customer's home, so keep this in mind when presenting your work, doodles will not be accepted as there is a standard to maintain.
  • Artists with 10 or more pieces will get their own Individual webpage.
  • Art will be reviewed and not everything will be accepted. 

Books

  • Work must be original. 
  • All works must be in the form of books either spiral bound, paperback or hardcover.
  • Tape binding is not allowed.
  • Authors with 10 or more work will get their own webpage.

Information to be Provided

When sending your work to our WhatsApp number 03300732888, please include the following information. Work that is sent to us that is missing the appropriate information will not be accepted. 

Artwork

  • Title
  • Artist full name
    • Artwork is displayed as "Title by full name"
  • Description of work: What inspired you to paint it? What meaning does it hold?
  • Price of work. Keep in mind larger prices will deter possible customers, but again this is of your choosing. 
    • The price that you provide, we will add 10% to it.
  • Size of work in inches or feet
  • Medium used: acrylics, oil paint, clay etc.
  • Original work or is it a copy of another art piece, and if it is which piece.
  • If the canvas or work is ripped or damaged in any way, you cannot sell that piece until it is redone or fixed. If it is a minor thing then please include that in your description because we need to be as transparent as possible.
  • Send us 2-3 images of your work:
    • 1 full image of the work
      •  with no hands or other material,
      • ideally on a white background.
      • front facing, no angle shots.
    • 1 image should be a closeup, so customer can see details of the artwork.
    • 1 image should be a mockup, how the work will look when displayed in a room. (optional, but it increases chances of your work getting selected)

Books

  • Title
  • Author full name
  • Description of book
  • Price of work
    • The price that you provide, we will add 10% to it.
  • Inventory: you need to keep us up to date on the amount of books you have remaining.
  • Age level: babies, kids, teens, adults
  • Language: English or Urdu
  • Number of pages
  • Size of book
  • Binding
  • Illustrator if any
  • Publisher
  • ISBN if any
  • Send us at least 2 images of your work
    • 1 full image of the book's front cover
      • with no hands or other material
      • ideally on a white background
      • front facing, no angle perspective
    • 1 image should be of the inside pages in the case of illustrated books

Steps to Get Your Work up on to the website

STEP 1: Send us the required information listed above, to our WhatsApp number 03300732888 with your name.

STEP 2: If selected we will add your work to the website and add a 10% to the price that you have provided us. 

Example: if your work is PKR 500. We will add 10% to it. So, 10% of 500 is Rs.50. The website price will be shown as Rs. 550. This way no money is deducted from your work, and you keep what price you asked for. When an order comes you will keep your 500 and we will keep the 50. 

STEP 3: Once uploaded we will send you the link to your product.

STEP 4: You will market your work by sharing around that link for potential customers to look at. You can do this through WhatsApp or social media.

STEP 5: If you have 10 or more works, whether that is artwork, books or both. Then we will create a full webpage dedicated to your work.

  • For your own webpage you will need to provide a bio along with a professional photo of yourself. 
  • We will send you the link to your own page, for you to share with friends or family.

What will Happen When a Customer Orders?

STEP 1: Customer orders

STEP 2: You are required to send us the live, clear photos of your work to us on our WhatsApp number. We will provide these images to the customer and wait for a confirmation on their behalf. 

  • The LIVE images need to show every angle of the work: front, back and sides. In the case of a book a quick video flip through. This is to show the customer that there is no damage on the work. This will be the images of the exact art/book that you will send. This is for your protection and to guarantee that your item sells without an issue.

STEP 3: Once the customer confirms, we will ask them for the payment up front if the amount is larger than PKR. 10,000. Once you deliver the work and the refund period has passed then we will release the payment to you the artist/author minus our 10%. 

If the work is less than 10,000, then you will send us the 10% first to the bank details we provide then we will give you the customer details. 

 In the example above with the Rs. 550, you will send us the Rs. 50 first.

Going forward you are now responsible to deal with the customer and shipping.

STEP 3: After receiving the 10%, we will send you the required shipping details of the customer.

STEP 4: You are now responsible to pack up your artwork or book appropriately. 

  • Use bubble wrap, cardboard for the corners of canvases proper packing flyers or boxes. 
  • Put a FRAGILE sticker on it if it is required. 
  • It is recommended to record the work getting packed as proof that it was undamaged on your part. 

STEP 5: Use a courier service, if the item costs a lot make sure to get it insured in case they lose your parcel, but that rarely happens. The website provides Rs. 350 for delivery for books and Rs. 500 for delivery of artwork, this money will go to you to help you pay for the delivery of the product. Anything more than that, then you will be required to pay yourself depending on the courier. 

  • If the work costs more than 5K you are allowed to message the customer and ask them to pay half to you before shipping, in the case of Cash on Delivery. That is only if they agree to do so. 
  • Once you ship the product, be sure to send the customer and us the Tracking number of the parcel and which courier is used.

STEP 6: The customer receives the work and pays the COD, which you will collect from the courier service. 

*Disclaimer: We don't know who the customers are personally, so there is a certain trust that needs to be given to them as they are also trusting you to provide premium quality work. 


FAQs:

Do I get the 10% back if the Customer Cancels the Order?

Cancellation happens before an order is shipped, in that case we will return the 10% back to you. If the customer has received the order damaged and they want a refund, then in that case we will not refund the 10%, because the way your work was presented is your responsibility. 

Can I add more work later on?

Yes, as long as this program is open you can always add more work.

Do I need to provide a full name?

Yes, we have a lot of people participating with the same first name, so a last name helps distinguish people.

How do I share the link to my social media?

You can put the link provided on your WhatsApp status with an image of your artwork or book. Do same on your instagram or Facebook. The link should be clickable and it should go directly to your product.

Am I required to keep Zubda Publications up to date on my inventory?

Yes. If you are selling your work on other websites or places, please let us know how much inventory you have so there's no confusion with the customer when they order.
